    1. Soak the spill up with a towel or sponge. Don’t try to wipe the spill away.

    1. Scrape with the direction of the rug pile.
    2. Don’t scrape or press too hard. Apply only enough pressure to remove the dried material.
  3. Use natural cleaning agent and water to remove liquid stains.
    1. Water and the mild soapy solution will help to break up the stain and restore your rug.
    2. Don’t use any alkaline soaps or shampoos.
  4. Remove any soapy residue from the rug.
    1. Take a new cloth and dampen it with only water.
    2. Allow your rug time to dry before placing it back in your room.
    3. If you can’t seem to remove the stain yourself, you may need to have it professionally cleaned.
  5. Do not use harsh chemicals, dry-cleaning or machine washing. 
    1. Although it may be tempting, chemicals can damage your rug permanently.
